The blocks are all pieced, so now it's time to pull the paper out.
I'm still undecided if im going to add any borders, will definitely not be making appliqué blocks thou as I've run out of oakshott, the fat eighths bundle wouldn't stretch that far :(
The quilt as it is measures 36 x 36 and there's more wastage when you paper piece and I had already used some of the bundle making up the William Morris bird block, so I can't complain.
I am definitely in love with oakshott cottons and plan to buy more in the future.
Wishing you some sewing good times!

Oh I love it so far!! Storm at sea is my next bed sized quilt to make, seeing yours is really inspiring. I love those colors! Can't wait to see how you quilt it.
Love your Storm at Sea. Such a nice colour combination. I did one in blue and yellows, pieced not paper pieced! Quite a pain if I recall, though maybe not quite as much as taking out those papers. And I'm a stickler for well done points. You could wait for a border on it until you get more oakshott cottons. If you are not in a hurry, that is.
I love this quilt, especially the colors you used. Lovely!!!

What a cool design! It's like a piece of op art. Love it.
Oh, wow! This is so beautiful. The oak shots have such a soft look compared to flat solids
I have always loved this design. Your color choices work so well together. Thank you for the nice comment on my blog! I haven't ever done applique but maybe one of these days!
