Pickle dish

Its finally finished!
The washing of it was nerve wracking because the Kate Spain terrain layer cake has bled in places grrr...Come on who washes a layer cake!
I did use colour catchers but they didn't help, this genius put her quilt in the washing machine on a quick wash and then spent 15 minutes watching as the water slowly dipped onto the quilt as it filled, im definitely using the bath next time.
Unfortunately I got the batting wrong, I used 2 layers of white request weight quilters dream, it was the only white batting I could get but I failed to notice that it has a antique crinkled look when finished and I definitely prefer my quilts not crinkled but the quilting does shout out more now.
On a happy note I am chuffed to bits with how it turned out.
Some quilty pics to follow....
